We are a VFX studio set up and run by a team of passionate and creative VFX specialists with boundless enthusiasm and years of experience led by creative Director Simon Clarke and Managing Director Jon Grafton. Established in Bristol in 2013, Moonraker, formally Coffee and TV Bristol, has built a strong local and international reputation with producers and broadcasters creating award winning visual effects content for Television, Film, Commercials, Museums and Visitor attractions. Our Studio in Clifton houses a strong team of the industries leading artists who innovate, design and digitally craft visual effects for any screen. Their combined creative and technical talents quite simply create beautiful moving images.


Television Visual Effects

Our creative vision and passion for science and natural history has led us to work with many of the worlds top directors and film makers in the creation of computer generated imagery for world renowned broadcasters, including the BBC, National Geographic, History Channel and Amazon. Whether photorealistic or graphically driven, attention to detail and creative excellence is at the heart of everything we do. Our most recent work was enjoyed by 10 million of us in Planet Earth II using the talents of our CGI and motion graphics team for the creation of the titles, branding and seamless visual effects across the series.

Design and Motion Graphics

Moonraker house a team of talented designers and motion graphics directors that work collaboratively with our clients to create distinctive visual styling and branding for show titles, explanatory graphics and commercial campaigns for any screen; from mobile tablet to IMAX. Our range of prestigious Commercials, Broadcast and Museum clients including; Smithsonian, BBC, Dyson, Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Disney. We think our work speaks for itself, others do too, our recent EMMY Award for Graphic Design and Art Direction is proof enough for our commitment and passion to what we do best.


Museums and Visitor Attractions

We remain at the cutting edge of creativity and technology, exploring new formats, screens and virtual reality. Working closely with museum curators we help to engage the public and enhance user experience with innovative displays and films that showcase our work at its best whether screened on your phone, VR headset or on a 60-foot half dome. Our portfolio extends around the globe, from Planetariums to Flying Theatres. Whether it’s Dinosaurs or Dog Fights, Earth or Outer space, if you can’t film it we can create it, and if you can film it we can help make it better. Our recent work includes; The Dr.Who Experience - UK,  Fort St.Elmo -Malta, Flying Theatre –China, The Dallas Museum of Space and Natural History, The Fram Museum, Norway.
